Position Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary: The Kansas Historical Society (KSHS) is seeking a creative person as Public Information Officer II who will serve as a manager and integral team member in leading the promotion of the agency through writing, researching, interpreting and editing articles for publication; planning, coordinating, and distributing messaging through numerous platforms; assist with gathering and evaluating audience data; capable of operating still and video cameras and tablets for promotional purposes; and assist with program promotion and project managing.

Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience conveying information and analysis through composition of reports, articles and manuals and making formal presentations or achieving a common understanding or solution when there is dissension. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
