Public Initiatives & Events Senior Consultant

Cairo, Egypt

What is Yomn:

Yomn is a new breed of consultancy dedicated to social impact, economic development, and innovation. Our ultimate goal is improving people’s lives - including but not limited to health, climate change, education, women empowerment, sustainable tourism, arts & culture, etc. With three offices located in Egypt and Saudi Arabia and over 30 employees, we engage with prestigious government agencies, corporations, NGOs, and non-profit organizations. We help these clients understand what their stakeholders’ social needs are and execute effective initiatives that address those.

About the role?

We are looking for a passionate and seasoned Public Initiatives & Events Senior Consultant (8+ years of experience) to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale public events and initiatives.

Our events range from corporate meetings and hackathons to public activations, so we’re looking for someone well-rounded, resourceful, and quick on their feet — someone who can seamlessly manage a product launch one month and a community engagement event the next.

If you're excited by the idea of working in a startup environment where days are unpredictable, decisions are fast, and hierarchies are flat, then this role is for you. At Yomn, we move fast and think big — and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to do the same.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Concept Development (10%): Work with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and needs to develop an impactful concept.

Event Planning (40%): Develop and manage budgets, timelines, source and coordinate suppliers, logistics, etc. - from initial planning through post-event follow-up.

On-Site Event Execution (20%): Oversee event setup (stage, registration booths, catering, lighting, A/V equipment, etc.), manage operations during the event, and troubleshoot any issues in real time.

Stakeholder Management (10%): Liaise with internal teams, partners, and sponsors to ensure alignment

Marketing & Sponsorships (15%): Supervise marketing, promotions, and social media outreach to drive event awareness and engagement

Post-Event Evaluation (5%): Gather feedback, measure event performance against KPIs, and prepare post-event reports with lessons learned.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in event management (preferably within the public sector, government, or NGO sectors)
  • Experience managing client-facing projects or working in a consulting-like environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic
  • Based in Cairo, Egypt

What do we offer?

• 60,000 to 70,000 EGP/month

• Year-end bonuses

• Be part of and set the direction of a high-growth startup

• Opportunity to work on projects that improve people's lives

• Exposure to international clients and prestigious government ministries

• Work from home allowance (2-3 days per week)
