PR Account Manager (Maternity Cover – 3 Months)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive PR Account Manager to join our team on a 3-month maternity cover contract. This role requires someone who can confidently manage client accounts from day one, maintain momentum across campaigns, and ensure smooth internal and external communication.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and can take ownership of accounts with minimal supervision.

There is a strong possibility for this role to convert into a full-time permanent position based on performance, business needs, and cultural fit.

Key Responsibilities

1. Account Management & Client Servicing

• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients
• Lead client communications including status calls, reporting, and strategic discussions
• Ensure all deliverables are executed on time and in line with agreed KPIs
• Manage client expectations professionally and proactively

2. Strategy & Campaign Execution

• Develop and implement PR strategies aligned with brand objectives
• Lead media outreach, press release development, and media pitching
• Identify profiling, commentary, and feature opportunities
• Support event launches, activations, and media engagement

3. Media Relations

• Maintain and grow strong relationships with regional media
• Secure quality coverage across print, online, and broadcast
• Drive media attendance for events and launches
• Oversee press release distribution and follow-up

4. Team Coordination & Leadership

• Oversee PR Executives and Assistants working on the account
• Review and approve content before client submission
• Ensure trackers, reports, and monitoring sheets are updated
• Provide guidance and ensure quality control
