The public relations intern is responsible for executing day-to-day activities for a mix of B2B and B2C client accounts spanning several industries, including manufacturing, professional services, and consumer products. This internship requires a detail-oriented PR professional who can support activities including earned media promotion, influencer relations, social media management, content marketing, research, and more in a fast-paced agency environment.
What will you do in this role?

Help execute a variety of public relations and marketing projects for clients, including:

Earned media research and pitching

Social media content development and reporting
-
Influencer research and management
-
Writing and editing for owned and earned media (e.g., news releases, bylined articles)

Participate in team meetings to discuss client initiatives
-
Manage internal assignment deadlines
-
Assist team in preparing for upcoming client meetings and discovery sessions
-
Work with team to prepare for new business presentations
-
Conduct research to assist in marketing program development
-
Manage reporting for clients (e.g., media coverage, social media performance, email marketing performance)
What do you need to succeed in this role?

At least a Senior in a bachelor’s degree program in public relations, marketing, journalism, or communications (or equivalent experience)

Strong written and verbal communications skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment

Detail-oriented and creative thinker
-
Ability to independently manage several projects at one time and meet deadlines

Ability to use (or learn) PR industry tools (e.g., Meltwater, TVEyes)

Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to speed research, analysis, and execution.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $29-30/hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
