Public Relations Manager

SUMMARY

The Public Relations Manager will work closely with the Chief of Staff to enhance the organization’s visibility, reputation, and community engagement. The Public Relations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring consistent and positive messaging about UPS’s mission and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Adhere to plan and carry out duties related to Agency strategic public relations plan to increase awareness and enhance the public image of Unique People Services.

· Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, crafting key messages and addressing media inquiries.

· Maintain on-going relationships with media outlets, journalists, community partners, and key stakeholders.

· Lead and oversee the creation of press releases, newsletters, social media content, and other public-facing materials.

· Collaborate with the supervisor and programs to align PR efforts with organizational goals and advocacy initiatives.

· Lead, plan and execute special events, including press conferences, fundraising campaigns, the annual gala, and community outreach programs.

· Conduct activities and propose opportunities to increase the donor base and strengthen relationships with existing donors.

· Monitor and analyze public perception, social media, media coverage, and engagement metrics to inform future strategies.

· Work closely through the guidance of supervisor with the programs, external partners and funders to support communication advocacy efforts and funding opportunities.

· Oversee and coordinate regular updates to the organization's website to ensure accurate, timely, and engaging content that reflects UPS’s mission and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications, preferably in the nonprofit or healthcare sector.

· Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

· Proven ability to develop and implement successful PR campaigns.

· Experience with social media management, content creation, and digital marketing.

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.

· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
