Within this context, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) plays a key role in ensuring the company’s compliance with UAE laws and regulations, maintaining strong relationships with government entities, and supporting smooth business operations through efficient documentation, licensing, and public relations management.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with UAE federal and local government regulations, including those issued by DED, MOHRE, GDRFA, RTA, and other authorities.
- Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the group’s operations.
- Ensure all Legend Holding Group entities operate within applicable legal frameworks, licenses, and trade regulations.
Government Relations & Representation
- Act as the primary liaison between Legend Holding Group and UAE government departments.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with officials from ministries, municipalities, free zones, and other agencies.
- Facilitate the processing of company licenses, establishment cards, employee visas, permits, and other official documents.
- Represent the company in meetings, inspections, and government correspondence.
Documentation & Licensing Administration
- Prepare, verify, and submit required documentation for new company setups, renewals, and amendments.
- Oversee the attestation, translation, and notarization of corporate and employee documents.
- Maintain organized records of all transactions, licenses, and approvals to ensure audit readiness and transparency.
Operational Support & Coordination
- Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Legal teams to ensure alignment between internal processes and regulatory obligations.
- Support the group’s subsidiaries and departments with timely government transactions and approvals.
- Assist in resolving issues related to compliance, labor disputes, or regulatory inquiries.
Training & Awareness
- Provide internal guidance and updates on new laws, policies, and procedural changes.
- Conduct briefings and workshops for staff on compliance obligations and best practices in public relations administration.
Crisis & Emergency Management
- Develop and execute response plans for emergencies such as vehicle impoundments, legal notices, or operational disruptions.
- Coordinate with relevant government and law enforcement authorities to resolve urgent matters efficiently.
Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and updated logs of all PRO activities, expenses, and timelines.
- Generate periodic reports on transaction volumes, processing times, and compliance metrics.
- Use data insights to streamline procedures and improve efficiency.
Stakeholder Alignment & Partnership
- Collaborate closely with business unit leaders to understand operational needs and compliance requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor on government-related matters, offering insights into regulatory risks and process optimizations.
- Build external networks with embassies, chambers of commerce, and industry associations to strengthen the group’s public relations standing.
Qualifications & Experience
- Secondary or higher education; a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
- Arabic language proficiency is mandatory; fluency in English is essential.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a PRO role within a diversified business group or similar organization in the UAE.
- Proven track record in handling government relations, labor and immigration processes, and company licensing.
- Strong understanding of UAE labor, visa, and trade laws.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
