Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced, proactive, and well-connected Public Relations Officer (PRO) to manage all aspects of our company's government relations and legal formalities in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be the primary liaison between the company and various government departments and free zone authorities. Your core mission is to ensure 100% compliance with UAE laws and to facilitate the smooth and efficient operation of all business activities, from company setup and licensing to employee onboarding and document processing. Your in-depth knowledge of procedures and strong network will be critical to our operational agility and success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Government Liaison & Documentation:
· Act as the main point of contact for all government-related matters with entities such as:
· Department of Economic Development (DED) / Relevant Free Zone Authority (e.g., DMCC, JAFZA)
· Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE)
· General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA)
· Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP)
· Dubai Municipality, Dubai Petroleum (DPE), and other relevant energy and environmental bodies.
· Process, renew, and amend all company licenses and permits essential for oil and gas trading operations.
· Handle the attestation and legalization of commercial documents, powers of attorney, and certificates of origin.
2. Employee Visa & Immigration Processing:
· Manage the end-to-end process for all employee visas, work permits, and Emirates IDs, including new applications, renewals, cancellations, and status changes.
· Liaise with MOHRE, GDRFA, and ICP for quota approvals, entry permits, medical tests, and stamping.
· Facilitate dependent visa applications and related services for employees.
· Stay updated on all changes to UAE immigration and labor laws.
3. Corporate & Legal Compliance:
· Ensure the company's activities always align with its trade license and the regulations of the governing authority (DED or Free Zone).
· Manage the renewal of Chamber of Commerce membership and other mandatory registrations.
· Handle the processing of legal documents, court letters, and any other official correspondence as required.
· Maintain and update all corporate records, ensuring they are audit-ready.
· Banking relationships for the purpose of account opening, KYC and transactional management
4. PRO-Specific Administrative Duties:
· Procure and distribute official company documents, such as Chamber of Commerce certificates and good standing certificates.
· Manage company vehicle registration, deregistration, and fine payments with the RTA.
· Process and pay all government-related fees and transactions promptly.
· Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of all PRO-related documents and expiry dates.
Qualifications & Experience
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Law, or a related field is preferred.
· Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience as a PRO in the UAE, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in the oil & gas, energy, trading, or shipping sectors.
· Network: A demonstrably strong and effective network of contacts within key government departments in Dubai and the UAE (especially DED/DMCC, MOHRE, GDRFA, ICP) and Commercial Banks in UAE.
· Knowledge: In-depth, current knowledge of UAE labor law, immigration procedures, and company setup/maintenance processes. Understanding of specific requirements for a trading company is a significant advantage.
· Language Skills: Fluency in English and Arabic is essential. Additional languages are a plus.
· Driving License: A valid UAE driving license and own vehicle are highly desirable for mobility.
