<Job Overview>
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Public Relations / Quality Assurance (QA) specialist to enhance our communication strategies and uphold the highest standards of service quality. This paid position offers an opportunity to shape our public image, foster media relations, and ensure that our services consistently meet rigorous quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong background in journalism or media relations, and a passion for maintaining organizational integrity through meticulous proofreading and editing.

<Duties>

  • Develop and implement strategic public relations campaigns to promote the organization’s mission and services across various media platforms.
  • Craft compelling press releases, media advisories, and informational materials aligned with AP style guidelines.
  • Manage media relations by establishing and nurturing relationships with journalists, editors, and community partners.
  • Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends, community needs, and competitor activities to inform communication strategies.
  • Proofread and edit all written content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency before dissemination.
  • Coordinate public speaking engagements and community outreach events to enhance organizational visibility.
  • Oversee social media management efforts by creating engaging content that reflects the organization’s values and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure messaging aligns with organizational goals while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

  • Proficiency in AP style for clear, consistent writing across all communications.
  • Strong public speaking abilities with experience in delivering presentations or speeches confidently.
  • Excellent research skills to gather relevant information for media pitches and content development.
  • Background in journalism or related fields with demonstrated editing and proofreading expertise.
  • Experience managing media relations, including building relationships with journalists and handling press inquiries.
  • Knowledge of social media management tools and strategies for engaging diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with an emphasis on clarity, professionalism, and diplomacy.
