Primary Function
Under the direction of the Public Relations team, the Marketing/Finance Intern is responsible for performing marketing, communications, graphics and public relation-related tasks and/or handling special projects, as directed. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience for a career in public relations.

Essential Functions
Assist with writing, proofing and editing material for website content, flyers, newsletter articles and press releases
Administrative duties such as mail processing and scanning
Scan and maintain records such as property leases, contracts, etc3
Assist in maintaining social media presence. Take pictures and videos for digital marketing
Assist with special events and projects as needed. Such as fundraisers, friend raisers, annual luncheon, and other events
Contribute ideas for stories/features/partnerships to benefit Goodwill and share our mission internally and with the public
Work with Chief Operating Officer and outside PR Firm
Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Understanding of and commitment to the importance of customer service to our employees

Experience with writing and editing publications, a variety of marketing and advertising methods
Any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
Must be actively seeking a college degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
