Position Title: Public Safety/Communications Intern - Paid
Department: Communications
Dates: Summer 2026: May 11, 2026 – July 31, 2026
Hours: Paid position, up to 29 hours per week
Summary of Position:
The Intern will experience a professional environment in communications, public safety, and media relations, while working alongside the Public Safety Information Officer to assist with the dissemination of information to the public. This position is also responsible for shooting and editing videos related to public safety, assisting with social media planning and content creation and other special media related projects.
Essential job functions:
Current college student or recent graduate majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Public Safety, Political Science, Public Administration and or related field.
