Position Summary
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest hallways, linen closets, and public areas while providing room attendants with necessary supplies to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Essential Functions
- Clean walls, mirrors, tile surfaces, tables, windows, and floors using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies. Duties require reaching overhead, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Strip beds and move furniture as needed, including lifting bedspreads weighing up to 40 pounds and moving furniture weighing up to 150 pounds.
- Dust furniture, picture frames, window ledges, vending areas, and other assigned surfaces to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
- Maintain the cleanliness of public areas, including the lobby, public restrooms, offices, elevators, and stairwells.
- Vacuum hallways, empty trash receptacles, and remove soiled linens from room attendant carts.
- Restock linen closets with amenities, linens, and supplies, including lifting boxes weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Sign out and maintain assigned keys; retrieve, push, and maneuver supply carts weighing up to 150 pounds.
- Conduct visual inspections of hallways and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to company standards.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and repair needs promptly to the supervisor.
- Push and pull laundry carts to and from laundry trucks and designated storage areas.
- Operate extraction equipment for deep-cleaning projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the housekeeping department and overall hotel operations.
