Do you love children’s books, storytelling, and bringing creative ideas to life? We’re looking for a Children’s Publishing Coordinator to join our Action Bible & Kids Publishing team for a six-month assignment. In this role, you’ll support the development and execution of children’s publishing initiatives—from early product planning through production and promotion.
This is a hands-on opportunity to gain meaningful experience in publishing while collaborating with creative, marketing, editorial, production, and sales teams. If you’re organized, curious, detail-oriented, and energized by creative work, this role is a great fit.
As the Children’s Publishing Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in keeping projects moving smoothly and supporting the success of our children’s publishing efforts.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to the publishing team, including scheduling, document preparation, meeting coordination, and tracking deliverables
Assist with product development by monitoring timelines, documenting action items, and following up with internal partners
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, editorial, production, and sales teams to move products through the publishing process
Conduct market and competitive research to support product strategy and brand decisions
Help plan and coordinate events, trade shows, and promotional activities that increase brand visibility
Prepare and update brand plans, presentations, reports, and leadership updates
Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and partners to support publishing initiatives
Maintain organized digital brand and product folders, ensuring files are current and accessible
Support additional projects as needed with a flexible, can-do attitude
We’re seeking someone who is both detail-oriented and creative, with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Publishing, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree)
Experience through internships, coursework, or professional roles in publishing, marketing, administration, or project coordination
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Editorial sensibility and an eye for design aesthetics
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Professional discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality
Typical business hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends as needed
Office-based work environment with collaborative spaces
Some travel may be required
This temporary position offers a unique chance to gain real-world publishing experience while contributing to meaningful children’s content. You’ll work alongside passionate professionals, develop transferable skills, and play a part in shaping products that reach families and kids around the world.
Candidates who advance in the interview process may be asked to provide sample work related to the role. This helps us better understand your skills and approach to publishing and project coordination.
We’d love to hear from you—please submit your resume for consideration.
