We are seeking a Publishing Manager to join our dynamic team and play a central role in developing, refining, and maintaining the quality of our publications.

Role Overview

The Publishing Manager will oversee and contribute to the entire publishing process—from research and manuscript development to editing and final production. This role requires an individual with a strong eye for detail, editorial excellence, and the ability to manage multiple projects across various subjects. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to ensure our publications meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Editorial & Content Development

• Oversee the end-to-end publishing process for ICSE, ISC, and IB Board titles.
• Conduct research to ensure content aligns with current curricula and academic standards.
• Collaborate with authors, subject experts, and designers during the manuscript development phase.
• Review, proofread, and line-edit manuscripts to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
• Provide constructive editorial feedback to writers and ensure timely revisions.

Publishing Operations & Quality Management

• Establish, follow, and continuously improve professional publishing workflows and editorial standards.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables to meet publication schedules.
• Coordinate with design, production, and marketing teams for smooth handoffs and cohesive final outputs.
• Maintain documentation, version control, and records for each project.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Supervise and mentor content interns and junior editors as needed.
• Promote a collaborative, quality-driven work environment.
• Liaise with senior leadership (Head of Publishing or Director) for approvals, progress reviews, and strategic input.

Multi-Subject & Cross-Functional Work

• Handle content across a range of subjects and academic disciplines.
• Adapt to changing priorities and assume multiple roles when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, Publishing, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in educational publishing or academic content development.
• Strong editorial judgement, language proficiency, and eye for detail.
• Familiarity with ICSE, ISC, and IB Boards’ curricula preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience in implementing or improving editorial and publication processes.
• Leadership experience or exposure to managing small teams or interns is a plus.
