Yellowstone River Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Nurse (LPN or RN) for our Pulmonary Improvement Program to join our Skilled Nursing Facility team!
Pulmonary Nurse Responsibilities
Pulmonary Nurses are generally responsible for the following duties:
Perform chest examinations
Screen potential resident for Pulmonary Improvement Program, if appropriate for program, request order from provider for program
Enter orders in PCC and initiate care plan
Do Initial Evaluations, Re-Evaluations, Discharges and Daily Notes according to Medicare guidelines.
Document billing daily
Consult with doctors and other healthcare staff to develop and modify patient treatment plans
Provide detailed therapy, requiring significant independent judgment when caring for patients in intensive care
Perform physical examination and diagnostic tests measuring lung capacity
Treat patients using oxygen or oxygen mixtures, aerosol medications as needed and chest physiotherapy
Educate patients on how to use equipment and medication
Regularly check on patients and equipment
Respiratory Therapist Qualifications and Skills:
Bedside manner
Physiological knowledge
Infection control
Health promotion and maintenance

Medical teamwork
Judgment
Procedural skills
People skills
Pulmonary Nurse/Nurse Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Current Nursing License in the state of Montana (LPN or RN)
Long-Term Care experience preferred; however, not required.
Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
