Pulmonary Rehab Respiratory Therapist. CRT/RRT (Per Diem)
To provide outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation services.
Description:
- Provides all facets of Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services:
- Patient evaluation/assessment
- Patient Education
- Outcome documentation
- Communicates findings to referring physicians that warrant discussion or medical follow-up.
- Helps to develop ITP’s (individualized treatment plan) with collaborative patient goals.
- Monitors, reassesses, and modifies treatment to support patient progress.
- Coordinates nutritional, pharmacologic, and psychology services for programs.
- Provides interactive education and skills training sessions for patients and their families.
- Helps to develop a home exercise program to promote long-term adherence to recommended lifestyle changes.
- Develops Outpatient Education classes.
- Collects and reviews patient and program outcomes.
- Participates in Pulmonary Rehabilitation team conferences, staff meetings, and in-services.
- Helps to schedule staff for Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
- Orients staff to Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
- Operates computer programs specific for department.
- Responsible for billing process for Pulmonary Rehabilitation services.
- Helps develop and revise procedure manual for Pulmonary Rehab.
- Schedules outpatient testing for program evaluation.
- Maintains current knowledge of Infection Control Procedures.
- Orders all supplies needed for Pulmonary Rehab services.
- Performs other work-related duties as requested/assigned.
- Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Massachusetts state licensure in Respiratory Therapy
- Minimum one year of Pulmonary Rehab experience preferred
- Current BLS certification

Per Diem Hours, Rotating Days, No Weekends & No Holidays
