Essential Functions:
- Competently perform machine alignment – pumps, compressors, blowers/fans, etc.
- Ability to rebuild API, ANSI pumps, compressors, air coolers, steam turbines, gearboxes, etc.
- Be trained in or ability to be trained in industrial (forklift) truck, man lifts, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify problems and issues with equipment
- Identify and repair problematic parts of a machine
- Be able to balance rotating assemblies
- Ability to assist in developing maintenance and preventive maintenance procedures and training materials for rotating equipment.
- Adherence to Company procedures, policies and industry standards
- Perform preventative maintenance activities by identifying and correcting potential issues.
- Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned and trained
- Knowledge of vibration analysis
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and inspections, to prevent breakdowns.
- Diagnosing and repairing malfunctions, replacing worn or damaged parts, and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Precisely aligning machinery components, such as gears, shafts, and couplings, to ensure smooth operation.
- Interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand machinery layouts and specifications.
- Adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations when working with machinery and equipment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Vocational school; or apprenticeship preferred
- 3 years experience as a Journeyman
- 3 years experience in refinery environment
- Operate Fork-lift/Manlift/Scissor-Lift
- Understand Industrial Math
- Ability to use Oxy/Acetylene welding/cutting equipment
Pay: $43.00 - $54.00 per hour
