Job Summary:

The Pump Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various types of pumps, including centrifugal, submersible, and diaphragm pumps. The role involves ensuring optimal pump performance, preventing equipment downtime, and maintaining safe working conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and service pumps, motors, valves, seals, and associated components.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and lubrication of pump systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in pumps and related equipment.
• Dismantle, repair, and assemble pumps, ensuring correct alignment and sealing.
• Conduct performance tests and calibration after repairs.
• Replace worn-out parts such as bearings, impellers, seals, and shafts.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and equipment history.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisors and engineers for scheduled and emergency repairs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• ITI/Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Pump Technician (industrial or mechanical setting preferred).
• Knowledge of centrifugal, submersible, dosing, and booster pump systems.
• Ability to use precision tools and measuring instruments.
• Good understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit to handle heavy equipment and field work.

Additional Requirements (if applicable):

• Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
• Experience in plumbing, HVAC, or water treatment systems will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
