Pumper Compliance Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Pumper Compliance Maintenance Technician aka PCM is responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, regulatory compliance, and maintenance of natural gas wells and associated production equipment across assigned routes. This role combines Lease Operator (aka Pumper) duties with Technical Field Services and compliance responsibilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Production Duties

· Monitor daily production operations, identify issues, make repairs and adjustments.

· Be familiar with and inspect surface equipment: wellheads, engines, pipelines, valves, separators, tanks, liquid rings, and meters.

· Record production volumes and operational data.

· Adjust equipment to optimize performance and to maintain run times.

· Identify operational issues and conduct on-location AVO inspections.

· Maintain well sites and well pads.

· Detect leaks, repair as needed to include packing leaks.

Compliance & Environmental Responsibilities

· Ensure compliance with ECMC, OSHA, BLM, and CDPHE regulations.

· Support emissions monitoring and LDAR programs.

· Maintain regulatory documentation and report incidents.

Technical Field Services & Maintenance

· Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.

· Maintain SCADA systems, PLCs, and instrumentation.

· Calibrate transmitters and monitoring equipment.

· Troubleshoot automation and restore operations.

· Familiar with NG measurement and extraction for sampling.

Safety Responsibilities

· Follow company HSE policies and best practices.

· Use, wear proper PPE.

· Participate in safety meetings and training.

· Report unsafe conditions.

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED required. Associates of Arts (AA) degree preferred.

Skills: able to use basic hands tools, laptop, mechanical troubleshooting, SCADA familiarity, ONG regulatory knowledge.

Familiar with basic computer programs such as: Word, E-Xcel, PowerPoint, Outlook email.

Able to take direction and follow guidance.

Certifications and Licenses

· Valid driver’s license required.

· First Aid/CPR preferred.

· OSHA 10 hr. certification preferred.

· Safety harness, Ladder and Fall protection training are preferred.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and at times lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

· Work outdoors in extreme conditions and odd hour shifts.

· Able to work an on-call schedule.

· Stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.

Work Environment

· Outdoor field environment. Able to work alone, be self-motivated.

· Exposure to all seasons and weather.

· Frequent driving between locations in rural settings.

· Frequent interaction with landowners, strong verbal communication skills.

Pay: $21.70 - $23.81 per hour
