Job Description – Purchase Assistant

Department: Procurement / Purchase
Reports To: Purchase Manager / Project Head

Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Assistant to support our procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers for interior design and build projects. The role involves coordinating with vendors, tracking material requirements, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products within project budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement of materials, furniture, fixtures, finishes, and equipment for interior design & build projects.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, inquiries, and quotations.
• Identify and evaluate vendors, negotiate prices, and compare quotations.
• Maintain accurate purchase records and update vendor databases.
• Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely deliveries at project sites.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and design teams to understand material requirements.
• Support in budget monitoring and cost control of purchases.
• Ensure all materials meet quality standards and project specifications.
• Assist with vendor payments and resolve any billing or delivery discrepancies.
• Maintain filing and documentation of purchase records, contracts, and supplier agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in purchase/procurement (experience in interior design, construction, or related field preferred).
• Knowledge of interior design materials, finishes, furniture, and vendors is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and purchase/order management software.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under deadlines.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
