Job Summary:

The Purchase Assistant in FMCG is responsible for supporting the procurement team in sourcing, ordering, and maintaining stock of fast-moving consumer goods. This role ensures timely availability of products, accurate documentation, and effective coordination with suppliers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in sourcing and procuring FMCG products from approved suppliers.

· Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and quality.

· Prepare and issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and follow up with suppliers.

· Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and supplier communications.

· Coordinate with warehouse, sales, and accounts teams to ensure timely stock availability.

· Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management to avoid shortages or overstocking.

· Support vendor evaluation and assist in negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.

· Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

· Prepare reports on purchases, costs, and supplier performance as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

· Experience: 1–3 years in FMCG procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support.

· Skills:

o Good understanding of FMCG supply chain and procurement processes.

o Strong communication and negotiation skills.

o Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/purchasing software.

o Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.

o Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
