Position: Purchase Engineer – Axle Components (Ring / Plate / Cover)
Location: Sriperumbudur, Chennai
Experience: 3 – 5 Years
Qualification: B.E / Diploma in Mechanical or related field
-Both male and female candidates can apply

Job Role

• Handle direct material procurement for Axle & Chassis components such as Rings, Plates, and Covers only preferred
• Source and develop Tier-1 automotive suppliers for precision machined and fabricated components
• Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery terms with vendors
• Ensure timely supply of materials as per production plan to avoid line stoppages
• Monitor supplier performance based on QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery)
• Coordinate closely with Planning, Production, Quality & Stores teams
• Track inventory levels, tool life, and shortage reports
• Implement cost reduction and vendor improvement projects

Key Skills Required

• Experience in automotive / axle component purchasing
• Strong in vendor negotiation & cost analysis
• Familiar with Tier-1 supplier processes and automotive standards
• Knowledge in procurement of fabricated, machined, and sheet metal parts
• Proficiency in ERP systems / Excel / MIS reporting
