Purchase Engineer

The Opportunity 

This role offers an opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, high-technology manufacturing environment. The Purchase Engineer will manage procurement activities end-to-end, working closely with engineering, production, quality, and vendors to ensure uninterrupted material flow for ongoing and upcoming programs.

This role is ideal for someone who has experience in purchasing materials for a manufacturing company or an engineer who wants to move into a procurement / purchase role.

Key Responsibilities

 Identify and develop vendors for engineering materials and components

 Raise and release purchase orders as per requirements

 Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery

 Coordinate with production, engineering, quality, and stores teams

 Track material movement and ensure proper inward of goods

 Verify materials against specifications and documents

 Maintain purchase records and vendor data

 Support cost saving through negotiations and alternate sourcing

 Handle urgent and critical material requirements

Qualification Required

 Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related fields

 Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering procurement.

 Engineers from manufacturing backgrounds interested in purchase roles can also apply

Skills Required

 Knowledge of engineering materials and procurement processes

 Vendor management and follow-up skills

 Ability to understand BOMs, drawings, and technical specs

 Negotiation and cost-control abilities

 Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and MS Excel

 Good communication and coordination skills

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
