Purchase Engineer

Position: Purchase Engineer

1) Key Responsibilities

-Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services in line with company policies.

-Prepare and evaluate vendor quotations, negotiate contracts, and finalize purchase orders.

-Maintain vendor database, track supplier performance, and build long-term relationships.

-Coordinate with project, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.

-Monitor inventory levels and support cost optimization initiatives.

2) Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Civil Engineering or related field.

-Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement/purchase within infrastructure, construction, or manufacturing sectors

-Strong knowledge of procurement processes, tendering, and BoQ preparation.

-Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office tools

-Understanding of GST, taxation, and regulatory compliance in India.

3) Skills Competencies

-Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

-Strong analytical ability for cost comparison and risk assessment.

-Effective communication and documentation skills.

-Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple procurement cycles.

-Ethical, transparent, and detail-oriented approach to purchasing.

4) Preferred Attributes

-Experience in Infrastructure projects and steel PEB.

-Knowledge of sustainability practices and procurement.

-Proficiency in drafting compliance reports and supporting audits.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
