Job Purpose

The Purchase Engineer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, components, and services required for the manufacturing of aluminium air piping systems. The role ensures timely availability of quality materials at optimal cost while maintaining strong vendor relationships and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, components, fittings, valves, accessories, and consumables related to aluminium air piping systems.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers in line with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and follow up to ensure on-time delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contracts to achieve cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, quality, and stores teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
• Ensure materials meet technical specifications, quality standards, and pressure ratings as per company norms.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages, overstocking, or production delays.
• Maintain purchase records, supplier databases, and documentation in ERP or procurement systems.
• Handle vendor performance evaluation and resolve supply-related issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement or purchase engineering, preferably in manufacturing, piping, HVAC, compressed air, or industrial equipment sectors.
• Strong knowledge of engineering materials, aluminium products, fittings, and industrial components.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement documentation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
