Purchase Executive

Job Title: Purchase Executive – Retail Supermarket (Male Only)

Location: Velachery, Chennai
Job Type: Full-time | General Shift
Experience: 3–5 years in purchase (supermarket experience in Chennai /tier2 cities preferred)
Age Limit: Below 35 years’
Preferred Radius of candidates location: Within 5–10 kms of Velachery

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage daily purchase operations
• Identify stock needs and ensure timely replenishment
• Liaise with suppliers, dealers, and distributors
• Source new vendors and products
• Maintain accurate purchase entries and documentation
• Generate purchase orders and reports using retail software
• Conduct stock checks and ensure inventory accuracy
• Monitor fast/slow-moving items and reduce sales returns
• Coordinate for expired stock replacements and credit notes
• Visit nearby markets for urgent purchases
• Work closely with Accounts/Finance for timely payments
• Maintain good rapport with staff and supplier

Candidate Profile:

• Gender: Male only
• Age: Below 35 years
• Education: Graduate in any discipline
• Experience: 3–5 years in retail purchase (supermarket)
• Languages: Tamil & English
• Software: Retail software usage , MS Office & Tally ( Optional)
• Skills:
• Strong communication & negotiation
• Good coordination and follow-up
• Willingness for local travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
