Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Purchase Executive with a strong industrial background, ideally from the furniture manufacturing sector. The candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities including vendor comparison, cost negotiations, and inventory coordination, with working knowledge of Tally Prime for accounting and purchase entry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management & Development:
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop a reliable supplier base for raw materials (e.g., plywood, MDF, laminates, hardware).
  • Maintain long-term relationships and monitor supplier performance.
  • Vendor Comparison & Selection:
  • Collect quotations from multiple vendors.
  • Prepare detailed Vendor Comparison Sheets (VCS) based on price, quality, credit terms, and delivery timelines.
  • Recommend the best vendor based on cost-effectiveness and reliability.
  • Procurement Execution:
  • Issue and follow up on purchase orders (POs) in line with production needs.
  • Ensure timely delivery to avoid any production delays.
  • Cost Control & Negotiation:
  • Negotiate with vendors to obtain the best rates and terms.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs.
  • Inventory Coordination:
  • Coordinate with stores and production teams to manage stock levels.
  • Avoid overstocking or material shortages through effective planning.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all procured materials meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Manage return of defective or non-compliant materials.
  • Tally Prime Entry & Reporting:
  • Enter all purchase-related transactions into Tally Prime accurately.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits and reporting.
  • Generate reports from Tally on purchase history, vendor performance, and payment status.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
  • Maintain updated records of vendor quotations, purchase orders, delivery receipts, and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of raw materials used in furniture manufacturing
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor evaluation skills
  • Proficiency in Tally Prime (mandatory) for purchase entry and reporting
  • Familiarity with creating vendor comparison sheets
  • Understanding of inventory management and basic accounting
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Email, and procurement documentation
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple purchase cycles simultaneously

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in industrial procurement
  • Experience in furniture manufacturing industry preferred
  • Proficiency in Tally Prime is a must

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
