Job Summary:
The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, supplies, and services essential for smooth business operations. The role involves vendor management, cost optimization, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining proper records in line with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Raise purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory/warehouse team.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Evaluate supplier performance and resolve quality or delivery issues.
- Coordinate with internal departments (production, accounts, admin, etc.) to understand procurement requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal/ethical standards.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost-saving initiatives.

- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle, etc.).

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement or purchase function (freshers can also apply for junior roles).
- Knowledge of local and international markets is an added advantage.
