Key responsibilities include collaborating with internal departments to understand needs, analyzing market trends, maintaining accurate records, optimizing inventory, and resolving supplier disputes to support business objectives and control costs. Core Responsibilities
- Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suitable suppliers based on factors like quality, price, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure the best terms and conditions for the organization.
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Procurement Process:
- Coordinate the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and other necessary documentation.
- Monitor and track the status of orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Internal Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, finance) to understand and fulfill their procurement needs.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams regarding order status and delivery schedules.
- Inventory & Cost Control:
- Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and optimize turnover.
- Analyze market trends and spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and initiatives.
- Record Keeping & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, supplier performance, and other relevant data.
- Produce reports on procurement activities, spend forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Issue Resolution:
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, or supplier performance.
- Handle disputes with suppliers, non-supplied items, or damaged goods.
- Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure that all procured goods and services meet the organization's quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
