Job Description: Purchase Executive (Food Section/FMCG Background)

As a Purchase Executive (Food Section), you will be responsible for procuring food-related raw materials, packaging, and supplies while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will negotiate with suppliers to maintain cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and evaluate vendors for food raw materials, ingredients, and packaging items.
• Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards during procurement.
• Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and warehouse teams for accurate demand planning.
• Maintain updated records of purchases, supplier lists, and contracts.
• Monitor stock levels and track consumption to avoid shortages.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality or delivery delays.
• Prepare procurement and cost reports for management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Food Technology.
• 4–8 years of procurement experience in FMCG/Food Industry.
• Strong knowledge of food industry standards, safety, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with ERP and procurement software.
