Leading Real Estate company requires Purchase Officer.

Location: Salt lake, sector-5, kolkata

Experience: minimum 2years in Real-Estate or Construction company

Job Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Support:

  • Assist the Purchase Manager or Procurement Officer in sourcing and procuring construction materials, equipment, and services.
  • Collect quotations and compare prices, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved material requisitions.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials to site or warehouse.

2. Vendor Management:

  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
  • Maintain and update the supplier database with contact details and product information.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing and payment terms.
  • Coordinate with vendors for material samples, testing, or certifications when required.

3. Coordination with Internal Teams:

  • Coordinate with site engineers, storekeepers, and project managers to understand material requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure all material requests are properly authorized before initiating purchases.
  • Liaise with the Accounts Department for supplier payments and invoice processing.
  • Work with the logistics team to track shipments and deliveries.

4. Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Prepare and maintain all purchase-related documentation (requisitions, quotations, POs, GRNs, invoices, etc.).
  • Maintain both digital and physical records for audit and reference purposes.
  • Update procurement status reports and communicate material delivery timelines to project teams.

5. Budget and Cost Control:

  • Ensure material purchases are within the approved project budgets.
  • Monitor price trends and recommend cost-saving alternatives.
  • Adhere to company procurement policies and approval hierarchies.

6. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all purchases meet company quality and specification standards.
  • Coordinate with quality control teams to verify and approve materials received at sites.
  • Support compliance with ISO, safety, and environmental standards.

7. Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on purchase status, supplier performance, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain procurement trackers or ERP records for real-time updates.
  • Highlight any procurement delays or material shortages to management.

8. Miscellaneous Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing purchase plans based on project schedules.
  • Follow up with vendors for pending documents such as invoices, warranties, or test certificates.
  • Support internal and external audits related to procurement.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • 2–4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the real estate or construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation, coordination, and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of construction materials and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Oracle, or similar).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of procurement procedures and documentation.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹20,985.65 - ₹32,771.59 per month
