Job Title: Purchase Executive

Department: Purchase

Location: vellamadam

Reporting to: Purchase Manager / Plant Manager

CTC: 25 to 35 k

Job Summary:

The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, consumables, and services required for daily operations. The candidate must be a local person with experience exclusively in purchase and must have strong knowledge of vendor coordination, material follow-ups, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement & Vendor Management

Identify, evaluate, and select vendors for materials, consumables, and spare parts.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Any Degree / Diploma (preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field)

Experience:

Must have experience ONLY in purchase

2–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing purchase

Strong knowledge of local vendor networks

Skills:

Good negotiation and communication skills

Knowledge of purchase processes and documentation

Ability to handle multiple procurement tasks

Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, ERP / purchase software)

Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail

Other Requirements:

Candidate must be a local guy

Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers.

2. Purchase Coordination

Raise purchase orders (POs) based on requirements from production, maintenance, QA, and stores.

Ensure timely follow-up with vendors for material delivery.

Coordinate with stores for GRN and ensure materials meet quality standards.

3. Cost Control & Market Analysis

Monitor market rates and ensure competitive pricing.

Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.

Track price variations and maintain vendor rate comparisons.

4. Documentation & Compliance

Maintain purchase records, supplier data, and PO logs.

Ensure proper documentation for audits and statutory requirements.

Coordinate with accounts for invoice clearance and supplier payments.

5. Internal Coordination

Work closely with departments like Production, Maintenance, QA, Stores, and Accounts.

Understand material requirements clearly and ensure zero delays in supply.
