Job Description – Purchase Executive
Location: Andheri, Mumbai
Salary Range: ₹4 – 6 LPA

Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Purchase Executive with exposure to fabrication, manufacturing industries, and WTP/STP/ETP plant operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing

· Manage procurement of materials, spares, consumables, equipment, and services as per project requirements.

· Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, procurement guidelines, and compliance standards.

· Develop, update, and implement procurement SOPs to improve efficiency and control.

· Oversee day-to-day procurement operations, focusing on cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.

Coordination & Reporting

· Coordinate with internal teams including O&M, Project Teams, and Accounts.

· Prepare and submit weekly/monthly procurement summary reports for management review.

· Collaborate with the Sr. Accountant for cash-based purchase transactions and maintain accurate documentation.

Inventory & Vendor Management

· Oversee the purchase division and establish clear inventory management guidelines.

· Forecast material requirements and maintain an effective inventory control matrix.

· Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure smooth procurement operations.

· Manage inventory effectively, including handling obsolete or slow-moving items.

Audit & Compliance

· Conduct internal audits of stock records at project sites and local stations.

· Ensure proper documentation and compliance for all procurement activities.

Other Responsibilities

· Minimize project/equipment downtime by optimising procurement lead times.

· Execute additional responsibilities assigned by senior management.

Candidate Profile

· Mandatory Education Mechanical Engineering or relevant Engineering Field

Experience in fabrication, manufacturing industries, or WTP/STP/ETP procurement preferred.

· Strong understanding of bending, rolling, and press machine processes.

· Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.

· Ability to manage multiple procurement requirements efficiently.
