Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO)
- Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for quotations, negotiations, and delivery schedules
- Compare rates, quality, and delivery timelines from multiple suppliers
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery at site
- Maintain purchase records, vendor files, and documentation
- Assist in material reconciliation with store and site team
- Coordinate with accounts department for bill verification and payments
- Track pending orders and prepare purchase status reports
- Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and procedures
- Support audits by providing required procurement documents
Required Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of construction materials (cement, steel, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to coordinate with site, stores, and vendors
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Word, Email)
- Familiarity with ERP / billing software (preferred)
- Attention to detail and record-keeping ability
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: Graduate / Diploma (Any stream preferred)
- 1–3 years experience in purchase/procurement
- Construction industry experience preferred
