Job Description – Senior Purchase Executive (Chemical Industry)

Industry: Chemical Manufacturing
Experience: 5–8 Years
CTC: ₹7,00,000 – ₹8,00,000 per annum
Location: Savli , Vadodara

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, solvents, intermediates, packaging materials, utilities, and engineering spares for chemical manufacturing operations.
• Develop and maintain vendor base; negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and long-term contracts.
• Ensure cost optimization through strategic sourcing, alternate vendor development, and bulk negotiations.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, R&D, Stores, and Finance teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Handle import procurement (if applicable), including vendor coordination, documentation, and liaison with CHA.
• Ensure compliance with chemical safety norms, MSDS, regulatory requirements, and company procurement policies.
• Monitor inventory levels, consumption trends, and lead times to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
• Prepare purchase budgets, MIS reports, vendor performance evaluations, and monthly procurement summaries.
• Resolve supplier-related issues related to quality, delivery delays, or shortages.
• Support audits and ensure documentation as per ISO / GMP / EHS standards.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of chemical raw materials & industry supply chain
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
• Understanding of pricing trends, commodity markets, and cost structures
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / ERPNext)
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environments

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹5,814.69 - ₹7,285.54 per month
