Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchase Assistant purchase manager to manage procurement activities for our water and wastewater treatment projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing equipment, components, and services while ensuring cost effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors and suppliers for equipment, instruments, and components used in water and wastewater treatment plants (ETP/STP/RO/DM).
• Raise purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of project materials as per technical specifications.
• Coordinate with design, project, and planning teams to understand project-specific procurement needs.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure optimal purchasing costs. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the store and logistics teams for material dispatches. Ensure quality checks and compliance with company standards for procured materials.
• Maintain purchase records and update the procurement database.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Assist in vendor development and evaluation based on performance and quality.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in procurement processes.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in the water and wastewater treatment industry.
• Strong understanding of technical specifications of pumps, blowers, valves, tanks, instruments, and treatment equipment.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, or similar).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously. .
• Knowledge of local and international procurement processes.
