Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Purchase Executive to handle procurement activities for our steel and building materials divisions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery to meet project requirements.

This role requires strong negotiation skills, knowledge of the local and international markets, and experience in dealing with suppliers related to construction and steel products.

Key Roles and Responsibilities (Steel Industry):

• Source and purchase steel materials such as reinforcement bars, structural steel, plates, channels, and beams.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain vendor relationships to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
• Monitor material stock levels and coordinate with stores and project teams for replenishment.
• Track and analyze market trends for steel prices and availability.
• Prepare purchase orders, maintain records, and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse for smooth material delivery.
• Verify invoices and assist in resolving any discrepancies with accounts.

Key Roles and Responsibilities (Building Materials):

• Identify and procure construction materials such as cement, sand, aggregates, paints, plumbing, electrical, and finishing materials.
• Compare supplier quotations to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain supplier databases and assess vendor performance.
• Coordinate with project engineers and storekeepers to ensure timely delivery of materials to sites.
• Keep track of purchase requisitions and ensure proper documentation.
• Follow up with suppliers for delivery status and ensure materials meet specifications.
• Stay informed about new materials, suppliers, and pricing trends in the market.
• Support management in budgeting and cost control of materials procurement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in steel or building materials industry.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
