Job Summary:

The Purchase Executive/Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement of raw materials, consumables, and other goods required for project execution and plant operations. The role requires strategic vendor management, negotiation skills, cost optimization, and ensuring timely availability of materials in alignment with production and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and project requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors/suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Procure materials such as steel, fasteners, hardware, consumables, and other construction-related items for PEB projects.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve optimal cost savings.
• Coordinate with design, production, and project departments to forecast material needs.
• Prepare and maintain purchase orders, comparative statements, and vendor performance records.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory procurement standards.
• Develop alternate vendor sources to maintain material availability and cost efficiency.
• Track and analyze key functional metrics to improve procurement efficiency.
• Handle logistics coordination, including transportation and delivery follow-ups.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of PEB materials, fabrication items, and industrial procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, or other procurement software.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight project timelines.
• Strong vendor relationship management and market awareness.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering, or B.Com / MBA in Supply Chain or Materials Management.
• Experience:
• Executive Level: 2–5 years of experience in purchase/procurement (preferably in PEB or steel fabrication industry).
• Manager Level: 5–10 years of experience with proven vendor management and procurement leadership.

Salary: As per industry standards and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,173.96 - ₹40,000.00 per month
