- Minimum 1 year experience as a Purchase Executive or in a similar procurement role in the MEP industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and Vendor Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for MEP materials and equipment.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure favorable agreements.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and explore new partnerships to enhance the procurement process.
- Material and Equipment Procurement:
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to understand material and equipment requirements.
- Source, purchase, and expedite delivery of MEP materials and equipment in adherence to project timelines.
- Ensure the quality and compliance of procured items with project specifications and industry standards.
- Cost Negotiation and Budget Management:
- Negotiate prices, terms, and payment conditions to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Work closely with the finance department to manage and control the procurement budget.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that procured materials and equipment meet the required standards.
- Address any quality issues with suppliers promptly and effectively.
- Market Research:
- Stay informed about market trends, new products, and advancements in MEP materials and equipment.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Logistics and Delivery Coordination:
- Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
- Monitor shipping schedules and address any delays or issues that may arise.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Anticipate and resolve supply chain disruptions to minimize project impact.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP materials, equipment, and industry suppliers.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficient in using procurement software and MS Office applications.
