Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement a strategic sourcing plan for all fabric categories (woven, knitted, PVC-coated, technical textiles, etc.).
- Forecast fabric requirements based on production and sales plans.
- Optimize purchasing processes to achieve cost savings and quality assurance.
2. Vendor Development & Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and mills for different fabric types.
- Negotiate pricing, credit terms, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
- Maintain long-term relationships with key vendors to ensure consistent supply.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews and audits.
3. Cost Control & Budget Management
- Monitor and control purchase budgets for fabrics.
- Negotiate competitive rates without compromising quality.
- Track fabric cost trends and prepare comparative reports for management.
4. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure that all fabrics meet Zeel’s quality parameters and specifications.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team for incoming material inspection and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, sustainability, and environmental standards.
5. Coordination with Internal Teams
- Work closely with design, production, and merchandising teams to understand material needs.
- Ensure timely material availability to prevent production delays.
- Provide updates to management on procurement schedules and vendor status.
6. Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis
- Stay updated on market price movements, fabric innovations, and availability.
- Analyze global and domestic textile trends to identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Attend trade fairs and exhibitions to expand supplier base and explore new materials.

- Proficiency in ERP / SAP systems and MS Excel.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Commercial acumen with attention to cost and quality balance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in fabric sourcing or purchase in a textile manufacturing or trading company, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of strategic procurement and vendor development in the fabric industry.
