Purchase Head

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Head to manage end-to-end procurement activities for road construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiation, vendor management, and timely procurement of construction materials and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle procurement of road construction materials (bitumen, aggregates, cement, steel, sand, diesel, machinery spares, etc.)
• Vendor identification, evaluation, negotiation, and finalization
• Issue and track Purchase Orders as per project schedules
• Coordinate with project, stores, and accounts teams
• Ensure cost control, budget adherence, and timely material availability
• Maintain compliance with GST, e-way bills, and procurement norms
• Monitor inventory levels and reduce wastage
• Prepare procurement MIS and cost reports

Skills Required:

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Knowledge of road/highway construction materials
• Cost control and procurement planning
• ERP/MS Excel proficiency
• Good communication and leadership skills

Preferred Experience:

• Road works / highway / infrastructure projects
• EPC or contractor environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
