About the Role -

We are seeking a highly accomplished Purchase Head: API to spearhead our API & intermediates procurement strategy and manage global supplier networks. This is a leadership role where you will directly drive cost optimization, vendor excellence, and international trade efficiency, ensuring a robust supply chain that supports our ambitious growth.

Key Responsibilities -

• Lead end-to-end procurement of APIs & intermediates (India & Global).
• Oversee import–export operations including logistics, customs, and regulatory compliance.
• Build & nurture long-term global vendor partnerships with reliability & cost competitiveness.
• Drive high-value negotiations, contracts & commercial strategies to ensure profitability.
• Track API market intelligence – pricing trends, supply-demand risks, and competition.
• Collaborate with Regulatory, QA, Finance & SCM teams for vendor approvals & smooth onboarding.
• Ensure strict compliance with international pharma trade & quality standards.
• Develop & execute long-term sourcing roadmaps aligned with company growth plans.

Qualifications -

B.Pharm / M.Pharm / MBA (Supply Chain / International Business / Procurement)
10–20 years in API sourcing, procurement & global trade
Proven track record with global suppliers & large commercial deals
