About Us

Nutria is a growing brand in the dry fruits and nuts sector, with a focus on high-quality cashew nut processing and value-added products. We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to manage sourcing, vendor development, and procurement operations efficiently, ensuring smooth production and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Raw Material Procurement

• Identify and procure quality raw cashew nuts (RCN) from domestic and international markets.
• Monitor raw material price trends and plan purchases strategically.
• Evaluate and qualify suppliers to ensure consistent quality and reliability.

Vendor & Supplier Management

• Develop strong supplier networks for raw cashews, packaging materials, and other consumables.
• Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and long-term contracts with vendors.
• Maintain supplier performance records (quality, delivery timelines, cost efficiency).

Inventory & Cost Management

• Ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials, spares, and consumables without overstocking.
• Implement cost-control measures in procurement.
• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams for timely material availability.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards in procurement.
• Manage import/export documentation if sourcing internationally.
• Maintain purchase orders, contracts, and audit-compliant records.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with production, finance, and quality control teams.
• Ensure raw material procurement aligns with production schedules and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in cashew or food processing industry.
• Strong knowledge of cashew nut markets (domestic & international) and price trends.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Ability to handle pressure and make cost-effective purchase decisions.
