Job Title: Purchase Manager

Job Summary

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing all procurement and sourcing activities across the Tea Division, Real Estate, and Hotel Projects. The role involves vendor development, cost optimization, ensuring timely supply of materials, and maintaining quality standards as per company policies and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Planning & Strategy

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Prepare annual purchase budgets aligned with project and business goals.
  • Maintain cost control without compromising quality.

2. Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews.

3. Material Management

  • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, and project-related items.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels in coordination with inventory and project teams.
  • Verify quality specifications and ensure compliance with company standards.

4. Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate with finance, production, and project teams for smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation.
  • Manage purchase orders, GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), and invoices.

5. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare regular MIS reports on purchase, vendor performance, and cost analysis.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and inventory management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in ERP / SAP / MS Office tools
  • Familiarity with procurement processes in Tea, Real Estate, or Hotel Sectors.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement / purchase management.
  • Experience in Tea Estate Operations, Construction Projects, or Hotel Projects will be an added advantage.
