Key ResponsibilitiesA. Procurement & Material Planning
- Develop project-specific procurement plans based on BOQs, shop drawings, and client specifications.
- Source and procure materials such as aluminium profiles, glass, ACP, hardware, steel, fasteners, silicone, gaskets, brackets, and fixtures.
- Evaluate material requirements in coordination with the engineering, production, and project teams to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
- Track and manage all purchase requisitions and ensure timely delivery.
B. Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and technical competency.
- Maintain a robust supplier database for local and international vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, lead times, and payment terms.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and audits.
C. Cost Control & Negotiation
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Benchmark prices regularly to ensure competitive procurement.
- Identify opportunities for bulk purchasing and long-term agreements.
D. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all procured materials meet project technical specifications, testing requirements, and relevant standards (ASTM, BS, EN, etc.).
- Coordinate with QA/QC for material inspections and certifications.
- Resolve material rejection issues with vendors promptly.
E. Logistics & Delivery Management
- Plan and monitor shipment schedules (local and overseas).
- Handle import documentation, customs clearance coordination, and logistics.
- Minimize project delays through effective tracking of orders and shipment timelines.
F. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of Purchase Orders (POs), contracts, approvals, and supplier communications.
- Provide procurement status updates to management and project teams.
- Prepare monthly procurement reports, supplier evaluations, and cost analyses.
3. Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills
- Strong knowledge of façade materials (aluminium systems, glass types, hardware, sealing systems, steel, ACP).
- Understanding of shop drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
- Familiarity with construction procurement standards and commercial terms (Incoterms, LC, etc.).
- Experience with ERP or procurement management software.

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and cost-management ability.
- High attention to detail and quality.
- Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
4. Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in procurement within façade, aluminium, glass, or construction industry (mandatory).
- Proven experience in vendor management and international sourcing.
- Knowledge of local and international façade material markets (Middle East, Asia, Europe preferred).
