Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Management
- Lead procurement of BOM materials (steel grades, forgings, machining inputs) and non-BOM materials (consumables, tools, MRO supplies).
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components to support forging and machining operations.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production and cost targets.
- Vendor Development & Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for steel and allied materials.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve cost savings and quality standards.
- Build long-term supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance.
- Cost Optimization & Compliance
- Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor market trends in steel and forging materials to anticipate price fluctuations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to understand material requirements.
- Coordinate with finance for budgeting, payment terms, and cost tracking.
- Support new product development (NPD) by sourcing materials for prototypes and trials.
- Inventory & Systems Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance availability and working capital.
- Implement ERP/Excel-based procurement tracking systems for transparency and efficiency.
- Ensure accurate documentation of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier records.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- bachelor’s degree in mechanical/production engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7–8 years of proven experience in automobile industry (steel-related procurement).
- Strong knowledge of forging, machining processes, and steel grades.
- Expertise in BOM/non-BOM procurement and vendor negotiations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and procurement dashboards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle pressure, drive accountability, and deliver results.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
