Purchase Manager

Procurement Planning & Strategy Develop and implement procurement strategies specific to railway and engineering goods. Prepare annual and project-wise purchase budgets and procurement schedules. Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation.

2. Vendor Development & Management Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for railway materials (rails, sleepers, fastenings, signalling equipment, etc.) and engineering goods (mechanical, electrical, civil components).Conduct vendor audits and ensure supplier compliance with quality, safety, and statutory norms. Maintain strong relationships with local and international vendors.

3. Purchase Operations Prepare and issue purchase orders, work orders, and contracts as per approved terms. Review technical specifications, drawings, and material requirements with engineering and project teams before procurement. Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites and monitor inventory levels.

4. Commercial Negotiation & Cost Control Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve optimum cost advantage. Evaluate and compare quotations and prepare comparative statements for management approval. Track market trends for steel, mechanical, and electrical components used in railway infrastructure.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Purchase in Infrastructure : 2 years (Required)
• Industrial projects : 2 years (Preferred)
• Purchase in Civil : 2 years (Required)
