Purchase Manager – Electrical Roles & Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Plan, manage, and execute procurement of electrical materials such as cables, panels, switchgear, transformers, lighting, and accessories.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop approved electrical vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, delivery terms, warranties, and payment conditions.
- Finalize purchase orders (POs) in line with project and company requirements.
Cost Control & Budgeting
- Ensure procurement is within approved budgets.
- Achieve cost reduction through strategic sourcing and negotiations.
- Analyze market trends for electrical materials to optimize purchasing decisions.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all electrical materials comply with technical specifications, standards, and safety regulations (IEC, IS, IEEE, etc.).
- Coordinate with QA/QC and engineering teams for material approval and inspections.
- Manage material rejections, replacements, and vendor corrective actions.
Inventory & Logistics
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate with stores and logistics teams for timely delivery to site or warehouse.
- Track material delivery schedules and resolve delays.
Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with electrical engineers, project managers, and planning teams to understand project requirements.
- Support project timelines by ensuring on-time availability of electrical materials.
- Maintain proper documentation including POs, delivery challans, invoices, and contracts.
Contract & Documentation Management
- Manage annual rate contracts (ARC) and long-term supplier agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and audit requirements.
- Maintain updated vendor records and material price databases.
Reporting & Systems
- Prepare purchase reports, cost analysis, and vendor performance reports.
- Use ERP / SAP / Oracle systems for purchase tracking and inventory management.
- Support audits and management reviews.
Risk & Ethics
- Identify procurement risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure ethical procurement practices and transparency in sourcing.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
