Job Summary

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for planning, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, consumables, spares, and services required for CRGO manufacturing operations. The role demands strong expertise in CRGO steel procurement, vendor management, cost optimization, and SAP-based procurement processes to ensure uninterrupted production and compliance with quality and delivery standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Sourcing

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for CRGO steel, alloys, consumables, spares, and services.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable domestic and international suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and payment terms to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials to meet production plans and minimize downtime.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with key CRGO material suppliers and service providers.
  • Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.
  • Handle contract finalization, renewals, and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory, ethical, and company procurement policies.

SAP & Process Management

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities using SAP (MM module preferred).
  • Create and monitor Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), Goods Receipts (GRNs), and invoice verification in SAP.
  • Maintain accurate vendor master and material master data in SAP.
  • Generate MIS reports, spend analysis, and inventory reports through SAP.

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Coordinate with production, planning, and stores to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Implement cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
  • Control procurement budgets and track cost variances.
  • Support audits by ensuring accurate documentation and SAP data integrity.

Coordination & Compliance

  • Work closely with Quality, Production, Finance, and Logistics teams.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, safety, and industry-specific stan

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Vadodara, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
