Designation: Purchase Manager

Department: Purchase & Procurement

Reporting To: Purchase Manager / Managing Director

Job Purpose

To manage procurement of raw materials, consumables, and services for the chemical company, ensure cost-effective and timely purchases, and handle import & export documentation in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers.

· Ensure procurement of raw materials, packaging, and consumables at competitive prices.

· Maintain vendor database and track supplier performance.

· Prepare and verify import/export documents including invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, COO, and shipping documents.

· Coordinate with CHA, shipping lines, and freight forwarders for smooth clearance.

· Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, and EXIM policies.

· Handle LC (Letter of Credit), bank documentation, and payment coordination for imports/exports.

· Ensure adherence to chemical import/export regulations, including REACH, MSDS, and safety guidelines

· Prepare purchase MIS, costing analysis, and price comparison reports.

· Work closely with accounts, logistics, and production departments for timely supply chain operations.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Timely procurement of materials as per production requirements.
  • Accuracy and completeness of import/export documentation.
  • Cost savings achieved through vendor negotiations.
  • Compliance with customs, DGFT, and chemical regulations.
  • Efficiency in vendor coordination and lead-time reduction.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
