Purchase Manager (Offshore Vessels)

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Marine or related discipline (preferred).
• 7 - 10 years of relevant purchasing experience in the offshore/shipping industry.
• Strong knowledge of offshore equipment, spares, vendors, and procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP / purchasing software and MS Office tools.
• Ability to lead a team, handle multiple priorities, and work under pressure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the entire procurement process for offshore operations, ensuring timely availability of materials, spares, and services.
• Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies aligned with company policies and operational requirements.
• Source, negotiate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Review purchase requisitions, evaluate vendor quotations, and prepare purchase orders/contracts.
• Monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines, quality standards, and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with technical, operations, and accounts departments to support smooth vessel/offshore project operations.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, streamline procurement processes, and ensure optimal inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
• Prepare periodic reports on purchasing activities, budgets, and vendor performance for management review.
• Mentor and guide junior purchase executives in day-to-day activities.
